You are a self-driven Cloud Security Consultant with strong experience advancing the secure integration and management of public cloud environments, including platforms such as Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, and Google Cloud Platform. You are skilled and adept at designing and securing cloud and hybrid environments, aligning security architectures with strategic business goals.

You are an advocate for the adoption and effective utilization of cloud technologies, with a strong focus on maintaining robust security measures. Your expertise lies in understanding the evolving landscape of cloud threats and implementing strategies to mitigate risks and prevent compromises. You seek a role where you can apply and expand your skills to substantially impact strategic initiatives, the business, and your team.

As a Part-Time, on-demand consultant with us, you'll have the opportunity to work flexibly, providing expert guidance and support to our clients on an as-needed basis. This opportunity has the potential to scale to full-time.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a trusted advisor to our clients, the Cloud Security Consultant provides tactical and strategic Cloud Security recommendations, focusing on enhancing preventative, detective, and responsive capabilities. You will provide strategic guidance through secure architectures and implementing security controls that best complement the organization's business.

  • Conduct thorough assessments of cloud deployments to identify and address security vulnerabilities.

  • Provide both tactical and strategic recommendations tailored to improve the overall security posture of cloud environments.

  • Design and implement robust security architectures that align with and support each client's unique needs and strategic goals.

  • Develop roadmaps and provide strategic and tactical guidance to clients on best practices in alignment with their business requirements and industry-leading practices.

  • Research and provide subject matter expertise on the latest security tools, standards, and best practices, ensuring alignment with current industry trends and specific organizational needs.

  • Develop and update documentation to continuously refine processes to enhance the quality and delivery of our products and services.

  • Liaise with and advise business stakeholders in a timely manner and manage the expectations of clients.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS

  • Have at least one cloud-related certification, such as Azure AZ-500, AWS Cloud Solutions Architect, GCP Cloud Engineer, etc.

    · Client-facing professionalism and integrity with excellent written and oral communication skills in Business English.

  • Ability to create documentation and diagrams to support design decisions.

  • Ability to align cloud security strategies with broader business objectives and digital transformation goals.

  • Passion for continuous learning

  • 5+ years of hands-on Cloud experience with one or more major Cloud Service Providers (Azure, AWS, GCP).

  • 3+ years of working experience with implementing and managing cloud-native security tools designed for dynamic cloud environments.

  • Experience in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for efficient and standardized infrastructure management, and the deployment of robust cloud workload protection strategies.

  • Experience with multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures, coupled with understanding how DevOps integrates within cloud environments.

  • Must legally be entitled to work in Canada.
